Corey Blackburn
 

Corey Blackburn, DPM

Corey Blackburn was raised in the small town of Glenwood, Iowa. He completed his residency training in Toledo, Ohio at St. Vincent Medical Center. He completed podiatry school at Des Moines University and his Bachelors of Science In Nursing.

He spent many summers in Grand Island as a child and has always wanted to live and work here. While he practices a wide range of podiatric medicine, Dr. Blackburn has had interest in treating foot and ankle pain. He also has expertise in diabetic foot care, reconstruction of foot and ankle deformities, wounds, and ulcers. Preventive care and foot health maintenance is always top priority.

Dr. Blackburn enjoys spending time with his two boys. He also enjoys gardening, home improvement projects, and anything outdoors. Dr. Blackburn is active in community service projects at the local Rotary Club.

 
Karl Vollers

Karl Vollers, APRN

Karl Vollers grew up in in rural Central City, NE. After receiving his Bachelors of Science in Nursing, he worked as an Emergency Room nurse in Grand Island. He then continued his education through the University of Nebraska Medical Center and received his Masters of Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner tract.

He appreciates the holistic approach to medicine and works to help patients return to and maintain their optimal level of health. Using evidence-based research, he individualizes care to help each patient move toward their goal. His wound care and sport’s medicine interests led him to team up with Prairie Foot and Ankle.

As a lifelong Nebraska resident, Karl enjoys the great Nebraska outdoors. Spending time in the garden, on the lake, or hiking with his family are some of his favorite activities. He continues to be an active member of Community Bible Church and enjoys working with youth to develop a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
