Who is this wound clinic for?

Patients with wounds that are slow to heal, such as diabetic foot ulcers, pressure injuries, infected wounds and wounds after surgery. If you or a loved one has a foot or leg wound that is slow to heal or has been a problem for a month or more, please contact us.

What happens at the first wound care visit?

The first visit looks at why the wound isn't healing. Labs, an ultrasound, a wound culture and an x-ray are often ordered at that visit. Treatment usually includes the right dressing for the type of wound and taking pressure off it, for example with a boot, a cast, pads or crutches.
